Meet the artist
Maya Pinz is a fine artist, muralist, illustrator, and passionate creative born in Saint Louis, Missouri, based in Columbus, Ohio. Through her dynamic paintings, Maya merges realistic, expressive portraiture with symbolism and striking silhouettes, confronting personal and at times challenging themes. Her work blends traditional techniques and materials with contemporary styles, often incorporating elements of printmaking and digital illustration into her paintings. These mediums infuse her art with vibrant colors, organic shapes, and intricate lines that captivate the viewer’s attention.
Maya’s artistic vision aims to spark meaningful conversation and encourage self-reflection, inviting the observer to engage in a personalized emotional response. At the heart of her practice is authenticity and community, as she strives to create art that fosters a genuine connection between the artist and the viewer. With each piece, Maya seeks to explore new ways to express complex ideas and evoke deep, thought-provoking reactions.
